Corporal Works of Mercy Days of Creation Four Evangelists
Tour photo Feed the Hungry
While Christ is the Bread of Life, His servants have an obligation to feed those who are physically hungry. He taught us to feed the masses with His miracle of the loaves and fishes. We cannot succed in feeding the spirit until we have fed the body.
Tour photo Give Drink to the Thirsty
Once physcial thirst is recognized, and we have helped to quench it, spiritual thirst is easily understood. The water is a momentary satisfaction. The spiritual thirst is quenched by the communion of saints and the life everlasting. Thus the baptismal waters and the blood of Christ eliminate spiritual thirst.
Tour photo Clothe the Naked
The vulnerability of one who is without clothing, reminds us that we must offer physical coverage for those who are less fortunate. Their spiritual vulnerability can then allow us, the servants of God, to wrap them in our loving arms.
Tour photo Visit the Imprisoned

Tour photo Visit the Sick
The need to nurture those who are physically ill provides all of us with the opportunity to give of ourselves. Whether we vist or take care of our weakened brothers and sisters, we are serving the Lord. It is our responsibility to minister to the frail spirit at teh same time we help heal the body.
Tour photo Shelter the Homeless
In the frosted blue atmosphere of night, the homeless seek refuge; the inadequately clothed seek warmth. The fire reaches few that are in need. Into the light of the open door steps a figure with outstretched arms. Blessed are the merciful.
Tour photo Bury the Dead
Out of the deference to the temple of the body, which provides a dwelling place for the soul, we are urged to show respect as we bury the dead. Those who mourn the absense of the body must be granted a time to grieve as we commend the spirit to the hereafter.
Tour photo The Last Judgment
When the trumpets sound and we are called from the dead to the final judgment, Christ declared that the criterion for our salvation will be faith manifested in our acts of mercy. "What you have done to one of the least of these..."
