What is a Life Night?

On Sundays during the school year, Mass is celebrated at 6:00pm at St. Charles. All teens, parents, and parishioners are welcome at Mass. This Mass features contemporary music and a homily with a message directed to our teens. Following Mass, the teens are invited to the lower level of the church for dinner and the Life Night. If you have attended Mass earlier in the day with your family, you are welcome to join us in the lower level for the Life Night at 7:15pm.

Each Sunday, a team of parent volunteers prepares and serves a delicious meal for the teens. Following dinner, Angie and the Core Team lead the teens in praise and worship - upbeat, contemporary Christian music. The environment in the lower level is changed to reflect the theme for the evening. In the past, teens have entered the lower level to find an airplane, a classroom, or total darkness waiting for them.

Members of the Core Team (trained volunteers) present a skit or video which illustrates how the Gospel message can be applied to situations teens encounter every day. Topics rotate weekly and include the themes of spirituality, social justice issues, religious education, and fellowship. Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are offered regularly. The Life Nights spark lively discussions, thoughtful prayer and reflection
